Vijay to protest against Lankan Navy at nagai
Actor Vijay, whose career has been bolstered with the top showing of his latest film ‘Kaavalan’, is said to be planning to stage a protest against the continual attack by the Sri Lankan Navy on hapless Indian (read Tamil) fishermen off the country’s coast. The actor is planning to hold the protest along with a huge number of his fans at Nagapattinam on the 22nd of this month.
Fishermen Jayakumar’s death at the hands of the Lankan Navy a fortnight was only the latest incident in a series of unprovoked acts indulged in by the Island Nation’s navy. Thankfully enough, Jayakumar’s family is getting all kinds of assistance from the Government as well as the many political parties, as its ‘election time’ in Tamil Nadu. BJP’s Sushma Swaraj recently gave Rs.2 lakhs to Mrs. Jayakumar.
Vijay will meet the slain fisherman’s family on 22nd to console the grieving family members. His father and director S.A. Chandrasekaran is likely to accompany him. On the eve of the visit of Vijay to Nagapattinam, Vijay’s fans have reportedly started making elaborate arrangements to ‘welcome’ him on the day of the protest.
So Vijay Fans get ready to join the protest march headed by Ilayathalapthy in support of poor Fisherman, and expose the inability of the government in checking the attacks.
