Rahman receives gracious note from Dido

Earlier we had told you about AR Rahman performing at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards which will be held at February 27, 2011.Well there were some surprised looks when the name of one Florence Welch mentioned to accompanyRahman during his performance.

Now we have received news that singing sensation Dido is the one who is being replaced by the so called Florence Welch. Dido herself has sent a personal note to AR Rahman regarding the same. It reads, “Me and my husband Rohan are expecting a baby and we’re beyond happy and excited about it. So as some of you already know, I won’t be able to travel to LA for the Oscars ceremony to perform ‘If I rise’.”

She even shared her dream of  attending the Oscars  since the age of 9 but now she will have to be satisfied watching it on TV this time. Dido also confirmed that the shoot of the ‘If I Rise’ music video with ARR will take place next week and it is something she really is looking forward too
