Hindu Makkal Katchi against Asin pairing up opposite Rajini

Asin
Not in many places would you find that the heroine of a film is not decided by the director, producer or the hero but by a few political movements claiming to be the ‘guardians of culture’ in that particular zone. This happens only in Tamil Nadu, where many strange things take place in politics as well as in Kollywood!
Hindu Makkal Katchi(HMK), the ‘self-styled’ custodian of Hindu culture depicted in Tamil films, has firmly said that it would steadfastly oppose if actress Asin is paired opposite superstar Rajinikanth as one of his three heroines in his upcoming film ‘Rana’, as the actress had betrayed the interests of Tamils last year by ‘visiting Lanka’.
While Bollywood’s Deepika Padukone has been finalized as one heroine, the other two heroines opposite the triple-role playing Rajni in ‘Rana’ is yet to be finalized with reports saying that two from the trio of AsinAnushka and Trisha would be chosen for the coveted roles.
HMK has said that as Asin acted in a manner detrimental to the interest of Tamils by visiting Lanka and mingling with the wife of the Lankan president Rajapakse freely during her tour, she shouldn’t be signed up Rajini’s heroine in the film ‘Raana’. “We opposed her pairing opposite Vijay in ‘Kaavalan’ itself but had to relent as most of the shooting had already been over,” said an HMK source.
“In case our plea is overlooked and Asin signed up opposite Rajini, we would prevent the shooting and the ‘muhurat’ of the film as well,” HMK  further said.
