Some time back, it was rumoured that actor-director Seeman, who has floated his own political outfit by name ‘Naam Thamizhar’, would be directing a film ‘Pagalavan’ staring Vijay in the lead.   There were also thoughts that Seeman’s track record of making or attempting to make socially relevant films might not exactly jel with the idea of making a film with Vijay in the lead as the latter was seen as a ‘mass’ hero.
Earlier, Vijay was reportedly ‘advised’ by his father and director-producer S.A. Chandrasekaran to avoid starring in Seeman’s film, as the latter was a known anti-ruling party man in the industry. However, things underwent drastic changes with Seeman getting jailed and coming out on bail and Vijay facing all kinds of problems in releasing his latest film ‘Kaavalan’.
Seeman had told a one-line story to Vijay when he had called on him during his tenure in prison. In a latest one-to-one meeting with Vijay, Seeman has reportedly spelt out the entire story to the star who was excited at the prospect of starring in the script, which had the usually masala elements and the happenings of the present day political set-up.
Vijay is said to have assured Seeman that he’d surely star in the film. It remains to be seen whether Vijay starts work on the film immediately after completing ‘Velayudham’ or would start work on the film after completing another film!
Vijay has also reportedly ‘cautioned’ Seeman not to say or do anything that might jeopardize the movie’s progress once the shooting schedule started!
