AR Rahman gets 2 Oscar nominations for 127 Hours

While AR Rahman has taken a voluntary break from movies but the spotlight doesn’t stop to elude the composer.
Now the ‘pied piper of Chennai’ has again made it to the prestigious Oscars with 2 nominations. The nominations this time are for Best Original Score and Best Original Song – ‘If I Rise’ for the Danny Boyle movie ‘127 Hours’. Well 2 years back the Danny-Rahman duo swept the award ceremony with Rahman bagging 2 Oscars out of 3 nominations at the 81st Award Ceremony. Now with the 83rd Oscar Award nominees announced fans will be celebrating once again.
Rahman earlier lost the Golden Globes to Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross who scored for the Facebook movie ‘The Social Network’.While he grabbed the Critics Choice Award recently which will be favoring him heavily during the Oscars and we are also expecting the BAFTA as he has been nominated for the same.
Even the movie 127 Hours is making a run for Best Picture and kudos to Rahman as many literally fainted earlier as they experienced some stunning visuals combined with the ever captivating musical package from Rahman.
