Meenas baby girl name is Nayanika

Actress ‘Kannazhagi’  Meena and her husband Vidyasagar were blessed with a baby girl on January 1st 2011 and now the couple have named their daughter! The auspicious ‘peru idal’ function or naming ceremony held at Meena’s residence at Saidapet, Chennai was a very private affair with only family and close friends attending it.

They have named her as ‘Nayanika’, which means ‘Beautiful eyes that induce magnetism’ or ‘The one with beautiful Eyes’ in Sanskrit.

It may be recalled that when the actress was questioned about when she would name her daughter, she had replied their family would consult their astrologer and name her on an auspicious day.

Meena tied the knot with Vidhyasagar, a software engineer from Bengaluru at a traditional Hindu ceremony that took place at the holy Tirupathi Tirumala temple on July 12, 2009.
