Rahman nominated for BAFTA

The Golden Globes this year didn’t go Rahman’s way. Well in his own words; they were just 3 metres away as he said,“ Last night, Al Pacino and Robert De Niro were honored at the Golden Globes… I was just 3 meters away… :-)”. Despite not winning the Globes he is just delighted with the admiration pouring in from fans and critics world wide and to make it to this stage so far.
Now AR Rahman has been nominated in the Best Original Score category for the prestigious BAFTA (British Academy of Films and Television Arts).His 127 Hours will be among Hollywood heavyweights Danny Elfman (Alice in Wonderland), John Powell (How to Train Your Dragon), Hans Zimmer (Inception) and Alexandre Desplat (The King’s Speech).
The composer has already won the BAFTA for Slumdog Millionare earlier.
With a billion hands joining in hope we are sure history will repeat itself yet again.
