The Bihar-born actress Neetu Chandra has starred in a few movies in Bollywood before making her debut in Kollywood with Vikram Kumar’s thriller ‘Yaavarum Nalam’ opposite Madhavan. She then followed it up with the film ‘Theeradha Vilaiyattu Pillai’ opposite Vishal in the latter’s home production early this year.
Though TVP didn’t scorch the box-office, Neetu’s strong performance in the film didn’t go unnoticed. The actress has reportedly done an ‘item number’ along with director Ameer for Mysskin’s upcoming Cheran-starrer ‘Yuddham Sei’. She has also been signed up as ‘Jeyam’ Ravi’s heroin in Ameer’s ‘Aadhibagawan’ and is quite excited about it.
The actress, who is said to be holding a second-degree black belt in Karate, is said to be very upset with Home Minister Chidambaram’s recent statement on migrants  that ‘migrants commit crimes in Delhi’ .
While speaking about the rising crime rates in Delhi, the Minister had said that migrants from other States commit crime in Delhi.
Neetu, however, refuses to accept the Minster’s statement, “Criminals commit crime, not migrants,” said Neetu Chandra as a retort to the Minister’s version. She further added, “In the present scenario, we need leaders who unite us and not those who divide us like the Britishers did.”
She also remarked,  “Are our politicians so fickle-minded that they make statements and retract them later?”
Neetu feels that such statements from the Home Minister are not only disappointing but also very dangerous to the integrity of our nation.
“Migrants have built the metros, the flyovers, the malls and the multiplexes and we all are proud of our capital,” she further stated.
