Karthika to star in Danny Boyle movie

Danny Boyle the Oscar winner of ‘Slumdog Millionaire’ was in Mumbai and during his stay a special screening of the movie ‘Makaramanju‘ was arranged.

‘Makaramanju’ is a Malayalam project that highlights the mythical tragedy that occurred during the creation of the most celebrated painting- Pururavas and Urvashi, by renowned painter Raja Ravi Varma.

Danny Boyle was overwhelmed and fell short of words to praise the film and its creators.Santhosh Sivan is debuting as an actor playing the king Ravi Varma andKarthika(daughter of yesteryear dream girl Radha) plays his interest as Anjali Bhai who is the painter’s model in the film scripted and directed by Lenin Rajendran.

The story is also depiction of love between the painter Ravi Varma and his model Anjali Bhai.Santosh Sivan who plays an actor in the flick was greatly appreciated by Danny Boyle, and the female lead of the film Karthika was also deeply admired for her performance.

Well Karthika surely seems to have hit a jackpot and Danny Boyle who in praise is even ready cast her in his next film. Danny apparently has invited Karthika to appear for a screen test to feature in his next Indo-British production.

As she awaits the waves of international fame to hit her, currently, Karthika’s debut Tamil flick ‘Ko’ nearing final stages getting ready for Pongal release.
