Rajinikanth to help Japan Tsunami Victims
As Japan faces serious crisis affected by the earthquake, tsunami and a series of successive blast at the nuclear sites, everyone seems concerned and worried for the victims.
Help is pouring in from all across and Kollywood too isn’t far behind with Rajinikanth who is known for his philanthropic attitude who is putting in serious efforts for the country that supported his recently releases Endhiran in a great way. Rajini’s has a long association with his fans in Japan of around 15 years now how can he forget the launch of Muthu – The Dancing Maharaja.
Close sources tell us,
“A team of people has been appointed by Rajini sir to have a closer look at the damage the natural calamities have done to Japan. Millions have lost lives and many are homeless. Rajini Sir will do whatever is within his capacity and also has appealed to the Kollywood industry to send in help to the best they can. Positively bollywood biggie Amitabh Bachchan who will be seen in `Raana’ with Rajinikanth will be tagging along with Rajinikanth in support of Japan‘s crisis. Vijay, Kamal Hassan and Surya will also be contributing soon.”
Amithabh Bacchan tweeted,
The horrible visuals of the earthquake and subsequent tsunami in Japan are just unbearable to watch! The fury of the devastation and the helplessness of those that suffer is petrifying. In this hour of grief ,our heads bow down in prayer and hope, for those that face this trauma and wish that we can through our thoughts give them solace and comfort.Seeing those pictures of innocence on the faces of little Japanese children getting tested for radiation .. heart wrenching !!
Below are organizations that are working on relief and recovery in the region.
AMERICAN RED CROSS: Emergency Operation Centers are opened in the affected areas and staffed by the chapters. This disaster is on a scale larger than the Japanese Red Cross can typically manage. Donations to the American Red Cross can be allocated for the International Disaster Relief Fund, which then deploys to the region to help. Donate here
GLOBALGIVING: Established a fund to disburse donations to organizations providing relief and emergency services to victims of the earthquake and tsunami.
