Vikram to romance Amy Jackson in Vijay’s next film
‘Chiyaan’ Vikram is all set to pair up opposite British actress Amy Jackson in his upcoming film to be directed by Vijay. Vikram’s ‘Deiva Thirumagal’ is releasing his Friday. The film, which has Vikram playing the role of a ‘person with special needs’, has a couple of beauties in Anushka and Amala Paul and has been directed by Vijay of ‘Madarasapattinam’ fame.
The picture-perfect Amy debuted as heroine in Vijay’s ‘Madarasapattinam’ last year opposite Aarya. She gave a very good account of herself as an actress despite the language barrier and made quite an impression in the minds of movie-goers. She promptly returned to England after ‘Madarasapattinam’ only to come back to play the lead role in the Hindi version of ‘Vinnai Thaandi Varuvaaya’ directed by Gautham Menon.
Reports say that she has also been signed up to play the lead role in a Malayalam film ‘Spanish Masala’ in the role of a Spanish girl. Incidentally, the film opposite Vikram would be her second film in Tamil as well as with Vijay. “The script of the film would be an action-packed thriller” , says Vijay and hints that the shooting of the film is likely to start in November.
For Amy, though, it would be a real ‘challenge’ to try to fit into the slot of a typical Tamil heroine in a commercial pot-boiler as unlike her earlier film, this time she would be playing the role of an Indian girl and that too opposite a top star like Vikram!
