Tapasee hopes to click in Bollywood in a big way

Tapasee hopes to click in Bollywood in a big way

Ludhiana-born Tapasee Pannu a.k.a. Tapasee has become the latest ‘toast’ of Kollywood, thanks to her portrayal of Irene, the Anglo-Indian girl, whom hero Dhanush falls in love with in her debut film ‘Aadukalam’. Thanks to the film’s success, Tapasee has become a ‘hot property’ in town.

In fact, she has been busy with at least one film each in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam films. Though she has been flooded with many offers, she has only taken up the offer to play actor Jiiva’s heroine in Kannan’s ‘Vandhaan Vendraan’. Speculations were running rife as to what could have been the reason for Tapasee’s refusing all those offers.
It now dawns on us that Tapasee is all set to make her debut in Bollywood, where she won’t face the ‘language barrier’ that she has to negotiate in Kollywood. Tapasee’s debut film in Hindi would be the remake of the 1981 hit film ‘Chasme Badhur’ and would be directed by David Dhawan, the ‘king of commercial films’ in Bollywood.
Opening up about her Hindi film offer, Tapasee says she’s extremely delighted to be making her debut in Bollywood. “I’m all the more happy to have got an opportunity to play the role essayed by the great Deepti Naval in the original version. I’m sure that this would be the perfect launch-pad for me to make a name for myself in Bollywood,” smiles Tapasee.
Forget not your Tamil audience, Tapasee!
