Tamannaah fears of Amala Paul and Oviya
Tamannaah, the Sindhi beauty who has been on top in Tamil films as heroine almost unchallenged for the past few years, got to the place basically because of the decision of top heroines like Asin and Trisha to decide to seek greener pastures in Bollywood. While Asin tasted reasonable success, Trisha’s attempt to storm Bollywood fell flat with her debut film ‘Khatta Meetha’ turning out to be a non-starter at the box-office.
Despite delivering the biggest hit film of last year in ‘Paiyaah’ opposite Karthi, Tamannah is said to be wary of a couple of newcomers in Kollywood. Even now, Tamannah has a couple of big projects on hand: her ‘Siruthai’ opposite Karthi would be hitting the screens on Pongal next week and her ‘Venghai’ opposite Dhanush is progressing at a rapid pace. Both the films have the potential to do well at the box-office, thereby extending Tamannaah’s reign in Kollywood.

Amala Paul, whose last film ‘Mynaa’ won her all-round appreciation from critics, movie-goers and the media besides many film offers, is said to be causing sleepless nights to Tamannaah. The other heroine is Oviya, who debuted last year as heroine in the successful ‘Kalavaani’. Both Amala and Oviya are right now on top of the preference list of many producers and directors.
Aware that she has stiff competition from these two, Tamannaah is said to be making serious efforts to maintain her hour-glass figure by following a strict diet.
Isn’t she already slim and svelte?
