Venkatesh was among the top actor who agreed to a reduced pay

Top Telugu actors Venkatesh,Balakrishna,Mahesh Babu,Ram Charan Teja, and Jr NTR have officially agreed to lower their rates. A joint meeting was held including the top actors, technicians and producers to decide upon a solution for the rising production values.

After almost a week of meetings, suggestions and debates the stars agreed to the solution of accepting a reduced pay in the near future. Interestingly, the stars were cooperative enough to take up the responsibility of paying their assistants taking of a heavy burden from the producer’s shoulder.

The Tollywood industry has welcomed the decision with open arms as it will benefit a lot financially. Small budget films will see a reduction of 60 to 40 lakhs while the big budget flicks will see a reduction of 3 to 2 crores.

We wonder if the small scale actors are happy with the solution.
