Moser Baer chief G Dhananjayan is a man on a mission

Chief Executive of Moser Baer G Dhananjayan is a man on a mission. He has taken up the mammoth task to compile a comprehensive list showcasing the best 1000 movies from Tamil cinema which have attained commercial success. The book will be titled “The Best of Tamil Cinema” and will be presented in 2 distinct volumes.

The first volume will be presented with  details of an era gone by for all those nostalgic fans who grew up enjoying the 1931-1976 period .From the likes of M. K. Thyagaraja Bhagavathar and P. U. Chinnappa dominating the 1940’s to the1950 – 1970 period producing iconic figures M. G. Ramachandran (MGR) andSivaji Ganesan.

The second volume will include facts and figures for the period of 1977-2010based on stars presently holding their swords up high, undoubtedly Thalaivar Rajinikanth and Ulaga Nayagan Kamal Haasan and others such as Vijay, Surya, Ajith and Vikram.

G Dhananjayan has mentioned that compiling the first volume was no easy task due to lack of information on the movies of the past.

Neverthless fans will be looking forward to grab their copies of a wonderful tribute to Tamil cinema which will be unveiled soon.
