Vijay at Anna Hazares fast venue Ramlila

Taking cue from Superstar Rajinikanth who lent his support to Anna Hazare via an e-mail to his ‘India Against Corruption’ movement, Ilayathapathy Vijay has gone one step ahead and is meeting Anna at Ramlila Grounds in New Delhi to express his support for the cause.

The actor who kept away from the token fast organised by the Tamil film industry on Tuesday flew in from Chennai on Thursday morning and met Mr. Hazare at the Ramlila Maidan, the venue of his fast and fast with him for a day.

Saluting Mr. Hazare’s “will power”, Mr. Vijay said the way the movement is getting public support that too without any political background is praiseworthy.

“The movement has triggered a nationwide debate on uprooting corruption. I am very proud to be here as a Tamil. I pray for his good health,” he told Mr. Hazare’s supporters.
